SQUID magnetometer at IIT Delhi, a National Facility installed in
Magnetics & Advanced Ceramics Laboratory is funded by Department of
Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The coordinator of the facility
is Prof. Ratnamala Chatterjee.
Being a National Facility, it is available for use by students,
researchers and faculty members of IIT Delhi and other institutes/
laboratories/ universities. The
guidelines for time allocation for measurements are decided by a committee
of members approved by DST.
The
facility at IIT Delhi has following features:
- Temperature range 1.9 K-330K (330K-800K in case
of Oven)
- Magnetic field up to 70KOe
- SQUID AC Susceptibility
Measurement: 0.1 Hz to 1KHz,
Sensitivity: 2 x 10-8
emu at 2500 Oe
